Planned, researched and evaluated over 200 anti-microbial technologies using a bespoke database, with recommendations for progression to a panel of scientific advisors.
Delivered a successful grant application (~£450k) from the UK government’s Technology Strategy Board (now called InnovateUK) to initiate a new medical device project with a two partner consortium, including a University Spin-out (SME). Commended for the pro-activity, diligence, speed and effectiveness with which this challenge was met - the opportunity was offered only one week prior to the grant deadline. The project would not have been initiated if the application had been unsuccessful.
A laboratory was conducting anti-microbial activity testing on a range of development samples. Using the principles of LEAN, the testing was evaluated and optimised through the use of cost-efficient alternative technologies, planning tools and calculation sheets. A typical timeline of 4-6 weeks turnaround was shortened to just over a week.
Project manager role overseeing all aspects of several anti-microbial medical device projects including a grant funded project. Required financial reporting to budget and deadlines. The grant-funded team and project manager were commended for exemplary skill and team-working by the project monitor.
